Create Account
A GarageID account is required to access many features of the GarageID application, so you need to create one as soon as possible. The basic account setup is free and only requires a valid email address to get started.
1. Visit http://app.garageid.com/signup, enter your email address, a strong password for your account, and the signup code if you have been provided with one:
During the Beta Testing period, the signup process REQUIRES you to provide a signup code in order to create an account. After Beta Testing has ended, account creation will be completely opened up back to everyone.
Confirmation Email
2. A confirmation email from hello@garageid.com will be sent to the email address entered with a verification link to confirm the email is correct. Please open your email and click the provided link to finish the email verification process:
3. After clicking the verification link in your email, you should see the successful confirmation screen then can click the “Getting Started” button to be taken to the login screen:
Sign In
Enter the email address and password you just created in Step 1 into the fields and press “Log In” and should be redirected to the Home screen:
Sign Out
1. When signed into the application, press the Action menu (5 lines in upper left corner):
2. Select the Sign Out option from the menu:
Reset Password
Forgot the password to your account? No problem, you can easily reset it!
1. Click the Forgot Your Password link to start the process:
2. Enter the email address for your account and then click the Recover Password button:
3. You will receive an email from hello@garageid.com that includes a link/button to submit a new password for your account:
4. Locate the email that was sent for the password reset and click the Change Password button:
5. Enter the new password you want for your account (twice for verification):
6. You will receive a confirmation message that the password has been reset and you can proceed back to the login page to login with the new password:
You can now log into the application with the NEW password you just provided.
